A Long Veil Adds Timeless Meaning to your Look

To veil or not to veil?  That seems to be the modern-day bride’s question more often than not.  Over the last number of years, brides going “veil-less” have been showing up at churches and halls everywhere in record numbers.  Headpieces of different types seem much more common now, and even no headpiece at all is becoming a popular option.  Rather than a tiara, crown or veil, brides often don small, dainty clips or hair jewelry, or sometimes wear pins with ribbons.

If you want to be traditional, a veil can add beautiful significance to your ceremony.  It is a timeless look, and allows for a timeless tradition:  The lifting of the veil.  Somehow, that moment where the groom lifts his bride’s veil to reveal her glowing face is a romantic moment, to be cherished for a lifetime.  It is significant, too, and adds an air of mystery when the bride walks down the aisle with her father (or another important man in her life) and still has the veil over her face.

If you decide to wear a wedding veil, you can find some beautiful ones to choose from at David’s Bridal.  They have everything from fingertip veils to veils that coordinate beautifully with cathedral-length trains and gowns.  There are short, modern veils with crystals and satin trim if you choose, or long and lacy versions.  Once you decide that a veil is for you, the sky is the limit as far as the type.  Just know that no matter which veil you choose for your wedding day, you will be adding an element that is timeless and elegant.
